WHAT exactly IS the Million MILF March–logistically?

I’ve had this event in my head for so long that I just assume everyone knows exactly what the event entails.  Apparently, I am wrong.

I’ve explained the WHO, the WHY, and the WHERE… I guess I never discussed the WHAT..   So… here it is..

WHAT exactly are we going to do at this event?  Why do I have to register?  What am I getting for my money?  Can I just show up that day and join the fun?

The MMM is a two-part event..  Friday night is a charity fundraiser.  Saturday is a pub-crawl.    I will explain each one.

Friday night:  With your paid registration, you receive delicious food, open bar, and live entertainment.  Music, drinking & dancing.. a perfect Friday night ;)   HMM fans will have lots of time with The Mess, Gooley, and an array of other ridiculous characters.  There will be an auction/raffle at this event with 100% of proceeds going to the Friends in Need Foundation.  We hope you will be generous with your donations and buy lots of raffle tickets.   Items to be raffled include art, jewelry, gift certificates, New Orleans swag, Vodka Babies and much more…  The deadline to register for the Friday night fundraiser is September 1st.  No last minute registrations can be accepted.

Saturday is a pub-crawl with an after-party.  It is a daytime event.

  • 9am – 11am- Late registration {cash only} at Ernst Cafe’ with Abita beers and Bloody Marys.
  • 11am – 12pm-  Ernst Cafe’.  Drink specials to be determined.
  • 12 pm – 1 pm- The Red Eye.  Drink specials to be determined.
  • 1pm – 2pm- The Howling Wolf.  Drink specials to be determined.
  • 2pm – 5 pm-  PARTY at Generations Hall including local New Orleans fare from several area restaurants as well as live entertainment by New Birth Brass Band.
  • For you football fans~~There is an LSU game that day..  Every bar we visit is equipped with big screen televisions and the LSU game will be shown in it’s entirety throughout the day…

For your registration fee, you receive a Million Milf March t-shirt*, New Orleans and Hot Mess Mom swag,  coupons and exclusive deals from area businesses, and.. most importantly.. an MMM wristband. This wristband will allow you to receive drink specials at each location as well as entrance into the after party.  (*pre-registrations only.  Registrations after Sept 1st will not receive a t-shirt)

Please note~ while this is being compared to the Red Dress Run or the Running of the Bulls, there are several fundamental differences.

  • The first being that this is a first year event.   We expect the MMM to grow exponentially over the next several years.  We cannot wait to begin this “new” New Orleans event celebrating “normal” women and the men who love us.
  • Secondly.. this is a mandatory registration event.  You will not be able to gain entrance to Generations Hall or receive any drink specials at the other bars without a wrist band.  This is not the event to “just show up”.

It is going to be a GREAT time with great people!   If you are traveling from out of town.. please note that the event ends at 5pm on Saturday giving you the entire night to go explore the city.

I am so excited about this event.   If you’ve not read the WHO, the WHY, and the WHERE… please do so.  It’s important ;)

Can’t wait to see/meet you all!!

~~HMM

{oh, and did I mention that the MMM is happening ON my 40th birthday? Look out 40′s.. we are coming in with a BANG!!}
