Vacation update

Day #3…

Dolphin Count:  8

Manatee Count: 3

Shark count: 1  (* could have been a tampon tarpon)

Sand dollars:  11

Seven had to leave today( to work) at 4am and will get back around midnight.  I hate it but it’s better than him missing the whole vacation. Since he’s the one who actually does stuff wih the kids at the beach~~ today had the potential to be rough.   I took them a few miles away for a nature walk, then back to the house and out to the beach.   At one point, while I was reading, Number Two came to me and said

 ”You wanna come in the water?

  No thanks.

You know, it wouldn’t kill you to stretch your legs every now and again”.

So we swam out to the sandbar and made a bet on who could find the most sand dollars.  I kicked his ass.  He owes me $10.  I told him he could rub my feet with lotion later to work it off   {Note:  WORST foot massager EVER… he sooooo did not earn that money}.

Dinner by the pool…….a puzzle, a game of Headbands and a quick Dance Party (complete with Number Two’s rendition of “I’m sexy and I know it” comprised of ripping off his shirt–striptease style while doing a pelvic grind.. it’s quite a sight.

Now..  all are in bed.. quiet house…. I have a glass of wine and am waiting for Seven to get home…

In other news:  We left our house on Saturday… On Sunday night I began receiving texts from our “friends”.   This morning I got a call from my house-sitter saying that there was a dead body in the pool.  Before freaking out, she realized it was a face-down blowup doll.  I had to contact the neighbors and the lawn guy so nobody would call 911.
